Went out to practice with the new detector, decided to walk some areas I don’t really hunt because previous runs have been pretty low on targets. Got into an area that’s started the detector chattering a bit, I found a button with Howard aa 1 embossed on it, then a random bit of iron, then I got a mid 90’s signal on the xp Deus. This buckle popped out along with a bunch of broken glass. The more I looked the more random iron I found and glass and porcelain in all the holes… its funny had I not found the buckle first I would probably had just passed through the area thinking it was just a little trashy spot but now I’m thinking a kind of dump site related to some cabins that I wasn’t entirely sure existed (they were mentioned in one book but the author was off on many of his other facts.)… anyway a southwest looking buckle to pop up in the Kansas woods definitely was unexpected. The quality is high too, a lot of similar finds are pressed metal, this one is solid with lizard and designs fixed to it. I thought cast but you can see a gap under the lizards foot… I know it’s in todays finds but I’d love to know more about it if anyone knows more about it
