Livin' LARGE today!

Finally found my first large cent today!
Found it by a 1800's cellar hole and its the only coin I have ever found there. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1422135014.852351.jpg

for a first one, it is outstanding! congrats! very good detail, one to be proud of

Congratulations on the beautiful 1855 slanted 55 large cent. The detail is amazing.

That thing is in Great shape!! It looks better then my IH's and most my wheats.

Great find. Thanks for sharing and congrats on the success,

I don't recall seeing many 1855 large cents posted on here, good job!

I look forward to trying the woods in Feb this year, because like your coin, things come up nicer than ploughed land.

Great looking Large Cent. It looks to be the 1855 with slanting 5's variety. That was the very first one I found also.

That is one NICE looking LC! That's the condition you want to find them in! Congrats!

Mine is toast no readable date.

Fantastic condition large cent......most likely been in the ground 150 years......compare that to our copper coated zinc cents that have been in the ground less than 5 years......Nice pictures, was it very deep? Keep us posted on future finds.....and Good Luck......HH to everyone.

Bill

Thanks for all the great comments everyone! It was about 5" deep wlb42, for some reason around here the finds in the woods do not seem to get real deep. I would assume the condition is so nice because it was in a spot that has never seen any fertilization and it took a nice undisturbed dirt nap! :)

Great find. It's in great shape too.

The one and only LC I've found so far is in terrible shape. Yours looks amazing.
congrats.

Rob ol' buddy, I am so happy for you, man. What a great find. You are awarded the happy dance!

That is a beautiful sharp clear recovery. Here's wishing you many more! Thanks for sharing and as always God Bless.
