Just curious, what do you all do with the old live rounds you find. ?
Misfires with a pin strike in it?
Anything to worry about?

WOW! what a bunch of responses from all over the spectrum.. Thanks for the info.
All I was talking about are old, dug, sometimes with some damage, rounds of various types for artifact storage. They would be way too old to use.
Most have been centerfire so I know it's less likely to hit it wrong, but just curious about the safety of storage.
I think I got what I need, so thanks all. I appreciate it.

I think much of this unintentionally bad advice is referring to small caliber (<.50 cal) munitions. When it comes to Unexploded Ordnance (UXO): Don't touch, mark location and call the authorities. Keep in mind that scrappers are killed or maimed every year from UXO.
