Has anyone tried out the Little Wizard as a pinpointing device??

Hiya red,

I'm the one who mentioned it. I did receive my Little Wizard II last week, but have only had the opportunity to use it for about 30 minutes at the park.... then the batteries in my MD went dead and I have been unable to get back out as of yet.

So far I am pleased; I located 1Q and 1P, both of which I had dug out of the hole and I located them in the dug dirt with the LW. I would have missed the penny without a doubt as it was very dirty and well camoflagued. The broad head makes it a little awkward, and it does not appear to have any noticeable depth abilities beyond the loose dirt that the clad was in. When I pinpointed with my MD before digging I then did a sweep with the LW and did not get a hit; both targets were at about 2" under sod.

So with the limited use so far I'd say it's worth the 16 bucks to have something to help out; keeping in mind I have no experience with any other pinpointer so I can't really compare. Next week I am going to put together a little test garden specifically for the LW and I will post a more thourough review. I also will be hitting what should be a virgin spot next week so Iwill add some field test results to it as well.

One last item, I was very pleased with the service at Bill's Detector Sales where I purchased the LW II. Free shipping for that $16, plus he added two of the new nickels each in a cardboard protector. Very friendly guy and he does good business.
