✅ SOLVED little tube container?

Found this at an old home site that has produced an early flat button up to late 1800s stuff. It appears to be a brass tube about as big around as a pencil. It has lines going up it in a design and a different design on the lid. I can't open it and it has the letters PNK on the lid

fainting was a popular thing...they had couches for it...and little smelling salts containers to bring her back around...smelling salts.jpgsalts 2.jpg...thats my guess

I agree lipstick. Pink? I have some and they are tiny. Samples I think. If you clean it up, you may see the manufacturers name on the bottom in tiny lettering.

I did apply the wd40 and got the lid off but it was empty inside

Take a Q-tip and run it inside of the cap to see if you can pick-up some residue. :) Breezie
