Re: Little Tree and self portraite

Wow! That is a heavy chunk of wood! I'm amazed at your woodworking. How do you do it? Just cut away all the wood that isn't the lamp?

Re: Little Tree and self portraite

We will look forward to seeing it Ron.That will be one big floor lamp. Now we all know what you look like . All the other picture of you have always been from the back.Little camera shy Ron lol

Even in it's raw form it's a remarkably graceful piece of natural art - I've been amazed in the past at how phenomenal of a job you do at bringing out every beautiful detail.

You're truly a gifted woodworker/artist - can't wait to see the finished product

Hi PB,

I flattened off the big limbs on the right side and mounted a 24" diameter piece of granite for a table.

Re: Little Tree and self portraite

Nice. You seem to have a good eye for those sort of things. I am looking forward to the finished product also.

Re: Little Tree and self portraite

I'me sure you will make another great piece.

Can't wait until the finished project. How long does it usually take on a piece this big?

Hi narragansett,

Good question, I have been working on this piece off and on for a couple of weeks while doing other things. I have two more coats of finish left to go on it.

;D

:lol Don,

No, I thought about it, but didn't want to get carried away. I whacked off half of one of the top limbs, figured I might try to make a table lamp out of the top half.

Re: Little Tree and self portraite and finished project

Ok, finally done.
