Little London pot?

This is a river find. It has seen better days but I saved it anyway. It is 2 3/8" tall. When were these guys in business? What did this pot contain? Thanks. DD.

I'm not 100% sure but reading this story here on the site below between photo 10 & photo 11 it sounds like somewhere between 1870-1880 as thats what they dated other finds.

I would guess it contained sme sort of ointment or cosemetic ( cold cream?) since they were perfumers
