Got back out for a couple hours before dark today. It has been a little slow going for me here lately as far as keepers.. Found a 1900 Indian and what I believe is a 18th cen. lady's hair pin. Or maybe for a hat? It is kind of neat. What leads me to believe it is colonial is because of the Dragon motif . I know that serpent motif's where a big thing in the period which leads me to think it is from that era.. But once again , not completely sure? If anyone knows I would like to hear from you. HH everyone. IMG_0709.JPGIMG_0710.JPGIMG_0714.JPGIMG_0739.JPGIMG_0740.JPG

Glad to see your still pulling some keepers. Those are 2 good finds, that pin is cool.

Very nice Dragon pin

Most unusual, I like it

Any clean up on the pin pics? Any idea of a base metal on the pin? The really good hat or scarf pins were silver or gold.

That's a cool pin! Never seen one before!

That pin is officially awesome. Congrats! -Lisa & John

what is that thing with the spurs on it?!? i found one a while ago and could never figure out what it is... it was patented 1865

Cool pin! Glad you are getting out. Should be other good stuff there

If I'm not mistaken, that is a wick winder for a lantern.

It's a knob to an oil lamp, and they are common finds on late 19th/early 20th century sites. I also believe that stick pin is from that same time period.

That's a nice looking stick pin buddy. Keep hunting that site until you get that one killer find that still in the dirt

That's a really neat looking dragon, and nice you were able to dig it with the pin still intact.
