Fully expect the word "Rock" to be quickly thrown out because the use wear is not pronounced, However I stood this rock up about 6 months ago because it looked like it would make a good marker stone. It was laying along a spot where a bull dozer ran through a camp area.

It's been hammered by people over the years and not much left on the surface.

Got to looking closer at this stone and noticed that it's the same kind of rock as the Mano I found earlier. Kind of a porous/coarse looking stone. Anyway it appears to have some use wear on it, with the most worn area being a different color. It's not heavy use. Only about. 1/4" recess.
18" tall x 10" wide x 4" thick.

Anyway I have a good imagination.

It’s a rock alright. I think you may have made a good call.

Looks a lot like some metates I have and many I have seen.

It definitely looks like a metate. Cool Find!

Funny thing is..there are a lot of oak trees in this area, but I've never found a mortar/pedestal..broken or otherwise.
I always figured that would have been their primary tool for the acorns.

Thanks for the comments.
Gotta keep an open mind for things other than obvious obsidian/flint/chert artifacts.
