Detector(s) used
Excalibur 1000, Excal II, Vibra-Tector 740, Vibra-Quatic 320, Automax Precision V2, Cache Pro Elite
Primary Interest:
Beach & Shallow Water Hunting
I frequently hunt at night when it’s cooler and less people are on the beach. Instead of fumbling for a flashlight mounting one on the detector shaft is convenient. These lights are designed to be mounted on a rifle barrel. With the remote switch attached to the handle you can just squeeze to turn it on and off temporarily or press the switch for it to stay on. It has 2 switches and 5 brightness settings. This one is water resistant but not submersible.

Do you wear a headlamp, as well?

I use both the one built into the Equinox 900, and a headlamp that is designed for just a wave of the hand to turn it on and off. Convenient when you're wearing gloves and much faster than fumbling for the on/off switch.
