Okay... before this turns into a dowsing topic... stick to the ley lines issue...
I'm watching as we speak UFO HUNTERS on the HISTORY channel. The episode is titled "UFO Vortexes" and deals with theories about UFO gateways in the Hudson Valley and in Arizona. I wasn't watching it but momentarily put the channel on and one of the people said something about ley lines connecting these "hot spots" where UFOs are seen more than at other places. Of course, this is 100% balderdash!

But the gullible buy it 'cause they saw it on the HISTORY channel, the repository of nonsense.

Is this back on track, Montana Jim?

I'm suprised your not talking about stranger things frankly Ed... I find is difficult to swallow your laughing at the Bigfoot joke right along with us when you are actually a believer in these things... or,stranger things. :) How old IS that pic in your avatar? I found a much newer one...

Rods, sometimes known as Sky Fish or Solar Entities, [1] are a rather new entry in the field of cryptozoology. They are said to be creatures which flit about in the air at such a high speed as to not be seen by the naked eye. However, rods appear to be observational artifacts produced by rapidly flying animals. Practically all sightings of rods are based on video evidence, due to the propensity of video cameras to produce characteristic stroboscopic artifacts when imaging rapidly flying animals, especially insects, but also including birds. Their recent popularity seems to be a result of media exposure in television and in tabloids. (Wiki)

I wonder how many people belive in THIS because it's on the internet?

I guess this is off subject - shame on me.
Well, since YOU is violating the topic, let me put in my 2 cents. That photo comes from a documentary on rods in which I participated in a nice, lengthy interview which they removed 90% before showing it all over Europe, I was told.

I don't "believe" as beliefs result from mental conditioning. I either know or I don't. When it comes to rods, I know. So, if you want to start a topic on rods, be my guest and I'll fill you in about their reality - not what the critics feed whoever listens due to their ignorance.

Bigfoot is another story and the jury is still out on that one.

UFOs, no doubt about their reality.

Pick your topic, I'll satisfy your curiosity from my cabinet of curios.

My avatar photo dates from the early '80s when I modeled that tuxedo at the Jockey Club in Los Angeles after being an usher at a beauty contest.

Hi Silver Fox did you get the same spiel that a couple of my aquaintances got after their interviews were shortened & manipulated? They were "edited for entertainment content"

Ask Urza.......he's a planeswalker.

C'mon you guys. Let's leave the hocus pocus stuff to the dowsing forum :icon_scratch: But, since you asked, here's how you find ley lines: you sprinkle some bird seed on your metal detector, stand on one foot, squint REAL hard while facing west, and repeat "ohhmmm ohmmmm ohmmmm" Then your detector will mysteriously connect the dots between mercury dimes that were 30 yards apart! Sure, you can question the science of this. But that's the beauty of it: It's "undiscovered science". Hey, give it a try. What've you got to loose :-*

I didn't get any spiel. Actually, I didn't even get a courtesy copy of the tape. I wrote to the producer many times asking him to keep his word about supplying me with a copy but I never got a reply. My interview part of the production was the best part as I was the only one to treat the subject with common sense, logic, and knowledge. Eventually, Jeff Ferris, one of the original rods researchers and a champion skateboarder/actor, provided me with a copy. I was disappointed to see that my interview was glossed over.

I can see why it was never shown in the U.S. as it was an awful production.

Yup, sounds like you got the same treatment... I think you hit the key "common sense, logic, and KNOWLEDGE" That doesn't fit into entertainment.

Yet the so-called HISTORY channel features mostly documentaries that lack the above 3 requirements for a balanced presentation.
