In layman's terms, it's the lines that connect points of interest... across huge areas sometimes... like the ancients designing of pyramids that are in line with some statue across town...

They often connect megaliths and monuments...

They were invented, or realized... if you believe in them, in the early 1920s.

As Montana Jim says. Additionally, though, some documentaries shown on TV show countries such as Ireland, Scotland, England, etc., where certain structures such as castles associated with topics found in such books as HOLY BLOOD, HOLY GRAIL (and, by default, THE DA VINCI CODE) and while this is made-up stuff, the linking of these structures with drawn lines (sometimes called ley) shows some correlation in forming certain expected patterns.

Also, some dowsers believe that ley lines are part and parcel of successful dowsing.

I don't know if he is around still, but there was a gentleman Jurgen Blicht (I think that's spelled right) that had a shop in S. California and he was giving lectures on witchcraft, dowsing and all matters that were a half bubble off. He had one of those New Age shops also. Might try looking him up. Or try getting in touch with some professional dowsers. They would be pretty well versed in Ley Lines and such. Best I can do for you!

James "The Amazing" Randi has tested alleged dowsers in various conditions and with different objects including water and the dowsers all came up short of success. But here's a kicker. When I went to the Treasure Hunting classes in a Los Angeles college in 1979, one of the events scheduled was a dowsing event. Everyone in the class was provided with dowsing instruments and we were taken to an inner yard and lined up in a straight line. We were told to cross the yard and follow the buried pipes. We all got across the yard making zig-zag movements. Then the teacher told us that of all of the 15 or 20 attendees, only I and another person had made the right movements, following the pipes! I do not make any claims for myself (nor do I jump 'em!) and I didn't feel anything unusual when I was walking. I had no idea. But as long as the rods pointed down I followed them.

Feng su is more localized. More like the 1.618 proportion of the Golden Mean and a harmonious balance to interrelationships of geometric . . . thingamobobbers . . . and stuff.

One neat thing I did come up with is that the patchboxes on old flintlocks did, in fact, quite often come back to that Golden Mean measurement. Either through purposeful measurement or asthetic coincedence.

I wasn't watching it but momentarily put the channel on and one of the people said something about ley lines connecting these "hot spots" where UFOs are seen more than at other places. Of course, this is 100% balderdash! But the gullible buy it 'cause they saw it on the HISTORY channel, the repository of nonsense.

Well, since YOU is violating the topic, let me put in my 2 cents. That photo comes from a documentary on rods in which I participated in a nice, lengthy interview which they removed 90% before showing it all over Europe, I was told.

I don't "believe" as beliefs result from mental conditioning. I either know or I don't. When it comes to rods, I know. So, if you want to start a topic on rods, be my guest and I'll fill you in about their reality - not what the critics feed whoever listens due to their ignorance.

Bigfoot is another story and the jury is still out on that one.

UFOs, no doubt about their reality.
