Try to use 1872 mine act to claim it?
Or Cut a deal with the feds?

I can't seem to keep up with how many times the LDM has been found, in so many different places. Didn't you get the memo? It's lost again, no telling where it will turn up next.

I would keep it to myself, sell the gold to private buyers, barter with it for real estate, and automobiles, and invest in profitable if a bit risky stocks - as I have.
