EDIT: Here it is cleaned up finally. Thanks for all of the great guesses and laughs. I think it was a small stove or kettle leg.

My guess is that it is an iron prosthetic rear leg for a pekingese.

AllI want to know is... do you have it bathing yet?

There are only 3 things this could be

1. A left headlight mount bracket backing plate from a light blue 1963 chevrolet impala ss convertible with out of state tags and a dent on the right rear quarter panel

2. The receiver from an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle with a compass in the stock and a thing that tells time

3. A chunk of rusted metal

It is cooking and I have an idea of what it is. Will have to try and see if I can ID it today.

Sorry to take so long but here are the photos of it clean. Im pretty sure its a leg off a small stove or kettle or something. Just wonder if I will find the rest of it someday.

Sorry to disappoint you austin. Maybe we will get lucky and someone will be able to give us a positive id on this, it is a fairly unique shape. For all I know it could be upside down and not a foot at all.

I think it is very cool that you took the time and made the effort to clean this piece up.
With it's apparent size, and the fact that it has one tapered surface, I keep wondering if it isn't the wing to an old cast iron simple eagle, similar to the reconstruction below:

That is very possible, I have an old hinge that I found in the near vicinity and I found that the hinge is from the 1870's. After looking hard online im starting to think that it may be the hook from an old log chain, and come to think about it I know that there were chains out there because theres still a huge chain wrapped and grown into a tree maybe a hundred yards from where I found this piece. I think I may get out there and hunt just Iron today but not sure what im doin yet.

I really don't believe it is a hook from a logging chain. They are uniform in shape on both sides.
