Let's hear it for steve valentine.................

I've gave steve some turmoil over the past few years, but I know he's my number one fan....... Just got to thinking after my riddle me thread which the title was taken from a killer beastie boys track. Stating my belief of how everything should be recorded and the talk of avocational archaeologists being some of who are almost unwittingly adding to the archaeological record. Like steve V Larson my good ole buddy gatorboy and many others birdpointgriswald, nc, twitch etc you are adding to the archaeological record by posting here and sharing your artifacts with people you meet in life. It is people like you who keep adding to the record by taking interest in the past. I singled out steve here becasue I have read a few of his articles and know that he has opened up his collection to school kids and anyone willing to share his interest including me. He has a passion for artifacts and ancient ways of life and I truelly respect anyone that puts forth an effort to entertain and educate others. I'm just one of those kind of people that give you a hard time cause i like you.

Thank you SOHIO. I appreciate the kind words. I love our hobby and I truly love sharing it with others. There is nothing better than being able to set up at shows and show off my collection and to meet people who share our passion for finding and preserving artifacts. I know we give each other a hard time on here but I do like most of your posts, or at least some of them, and I have a feeling we would probably get along if we ever met in person.

Do you really want some Pipestone? I haven't up there in a while but I'm sure I can still get some. If you want some let me know and I'll go get some for you. I need a little bit more myself anyway. It's mostly the red and gray though.

I think we have a good batch of collectors from all over on here, I learn every day and appreciate a good post and opinions. I find we can all find joy in giving away arrowheads and civil war bullets to kids who share an interest or beginners.
We had civil war bullets to present to the Wounded Warriors when in town with the story of the battle typed up. Each was a fired bullet. That gift meant much to these men in uniform on a long road to recovery. I am sure many do good things every day and never mention it. It is what makes this forum the best artifact forum on the net.

I agree Gator. SOHIO, I think so many people have seen you in the wrong light. I read through some of your old post, while you were out due to the cartel. I thought you had quit posting here, at that time. I remember thinking we had lost a member with superb personality and knowledge. I must have joined just after your break from T-net. When you came back, I was glad. I for one like the "prankster" edge you put on topics. For me, your post have been educational and fun. Two things more teachers need to mix.
