I work in the environmental field, cleaning hazardous waste, grease and oil from a steel mill, then process it so it can be safely disposed of.

My days are spent sleeping, for the most part. For what it's worth, I'm the overnight assistant manager at Walmart store #986. The overnight shift in a Walmart does the work. My hands will tell you they like me cause I work, and other management walks around with their hands in their pockets. I don't know about that. Some nights I'll wax floors, most nights I'll stock freight, and every night i'm right there with you tryin to figure out what we're goin to do with all this crap they sent us. And sometimes I have to unplug the trash compactor, or fix the baler, or sweep out the loading dock area, or round up stray shopping carts, and still do all the 'management' things on the computer they want me to do.

Technical Support, Engineering, and Mechanical/Electronic Design for an electronics company. Love my job most of the time. I get to solve problems any way I can, with very little supervision. Told my boss a long time ago, just give me the problem or job and let me go. Don,t try to tell me how to do it (micromanage). So far so good, most of the time. I am not saying I know it all, but I do know what works for me. I guess we all do, if our bosses let us do it.

Semi-Retired General Contractor.
Last week we finished a pole building.
This week I'm painting a porch.
Next week I will install some windows if they come in at the building supply store.
Then I hope some more work comes in.
Anymore it is a long time between paychecks.

Right now I have just applied as a design engineer for one of the leading supermarket chains. If I get this job I will be stocking food item in the sale sections at the begging and end of each aisle
