Atr those old floor joists long leaf yellow pine? worth big money they are.
Mike

East Texas was once covered in mature Long Leaf Pine. Took the lumber companys about 45 years of steady sawing to wipe it out. Back then they left nothing but fields of stumps. So, what was once common is now rare! Off the topic but thought I would toss it in ;D

Very intersting hunt your doing. Looking forward to your findings.
Everyone is well earnt I'm sure. :icon_thumright:

The past results look great! Looking forward to your next post! ;D

Dang Albert!
Back when I was about 7 or 8 years old, I used to go with my Grand Dad to Papa Johns in Cameron. Had those plank floors with quarter inch / half inch gaps. that floor was over a hundred years old. I guess some of my jute box / soda water clad ended up down there with all that good stuff.
I envy the heck out of you!

Very nice finds! HH

Dang, I would love to do something like this...always enjoyed your posts & pics of your last expeditions into under the floors, seems I've seen a few in the next town over from me. But, it this heat I would go bonkers. Looking forward to seeing what all you find.

 RR

Better have lots of water on hand! You always seem to start one of these in hot weather. I foiund one here locally but when I got permission to get inside, it had a wooden floor over concrete! I wasn't about to try to get the concrete out! Good luck and looking forward to your finds. Monty
