My work know's I'm out but today I started feeling a little better and got the real "bug".Hit the farm's where I do some relic hunting and found an Enfield Musket ramrod end....first thing I did was check it out on other site's and it was the real Mc'Coy,machined groove and all.......I've got some more pic's after these.....One and Only and probably will be till' the day I stop ;D Enjoy and Thank's...

Since that is the ONLY one of those I've ever seen,I nominate it for the banner ;D

way to go C-man congrats

Civilman, outstanding find! Glad you shook off the bug and got out of bed!

Well I learned something new today! Thanks Civil! What an exciting find! Glad you're feeling better!!

Nana :)

Great finds Cman! I am watching a documentary DVD by Ken Burns called "The Civil War", Antietam and Harper's Ferry is mentioned several times along with some fierce fighting around your parts in this documentary. I think you are only scratching the outskirts of the areas and you have a lot of potential if you can get on the sites. HH, Mike

Joe if I dont answer leave a message.I will call you back. Working up at rocky gap state park and I dont get any cell service damn sprint phones. Thanks Terry

Seems like a cool find. Being a clueless Yankee - those must be rare to find. Was that rifle special?

Bob
Hey Bob.... Both side's used the Enfield, superior weapon at the time as well as the ammunition.I found a hammer off an Enfield about 200 yd's from this piece on another farm, here's a pic' of it......couple more piece's and I should be ready ;D

Thank's Everyone for all your comment's.......Another piece of Antietam Saved!!!!

Nice finds, Joe.
I would have thought it was a piece of junk, and dismissed it
altogether. Shows what I know.
Actually, I know enough to have asked you what it was. LOL
