hello Hmmm? !! and welcome to Tnet. i can see a fish likeness in your rock! you will find out that a lot of Tneter`s think i am crazy be couse i can see things that they can not see in rocks and bone! just look at my advtar i was told it was a rock from the day i found it till now, but i have kelp it about fifty years, center of a point frame for over forty years. your fish may become as important to you as horse is to me, a very unique piece of rock. Terry
You are not being fair. Its not treasure. Its just a funny rock. She wants the truth not someones childish imagination.

Believe me we see the "fish" as well as you do. The problem is that its not man made.
She got the truth and accepted it many times. Tmodel gave his opinion, and she accepted that also. So why is Tmodel being unfair? Childish?

I'm sorry if my post caused controversy everyone...
I didn't mean to.
I'm just trying to find / preserve, a piece of our history and learn about it / from it.
This is part of my heritage and I just want to be part of it.. I am so drawn to it.
And I know many of you feel the same way...

There is nothing quite like finding something and thinking "wow", wondering about the person who
made it.... trying to recreate the piece's history.
Sometimes... it's crafted by Nature... :) And that's ok too.. She's an awesome artist!

I appreciate everyone's feedback... I really do.
Some of you are awesome at this... and I am grateful for your shared knowledge.
Terry

Im truly sorry if I offended you or your friend. My opinion is that leading her on that this rock might be an artifact is not being fair IMO. Not just Tmodel but all the other members that are leading her on as well. Yes she eventually green checked it but I think she could easily change her mind again. Its not hard to tell that she is still hoping and wishing.

He can see things that others cant? ??? :icon_scratch: Give us a break. ::) Im sorry to be harsh but we need to deal with facts not fantasy here sorry..

Dont worry Terry, this is how the system works. We debate back and forth, feelings sometimes get hurt, but we get the the truth in the end. Gettiing it right in the end and the truth is of utmost importance.

Dont even think words like "heritage", "history" and "the person who made it". Maybe I am misunderstanding but those words dont apply to this rock. The words "crafted by nature" are good. ;D

Sorry again Tmodel if I misunderstood. Its obvious that Terry is hoping for better news and I just didnt want you leading her on. Maybe my misunderstanding.

Thanks for the reply Big..
The words "heritage", "history" and "The person who made it".... Are not meant to refer to my "rock".
It refers to being excited about the search.. and finding something special. As I'm sure we can all relate.
I think we've established that I have a rock here...
Fancy, yes, but still a rock.

" Not just Tmodel but all the other members that are leading her on as well. Yes she eventually green checked it but I think she could easily change her mind again. Its not hard to tell that she is still hoping and wishing."

No worries Big... I'm not in danger of changing my mind. No one is leading me on... And Hoping and wishing are for much more important things in my life... not a rock.

For example... I was "hoping" and praying that my Dad would come out of the hospital, after going in to respiratory failure this past December..
Everyday.. I'm "wishing" he was still here.

That's what's important in life...

I listen to everyone's opinion... and I learn from them.
My Rock is in an old box with some other "rocks".
I love the search... and will continue.

Thanks again

Found near a stream. The area is said to have been a Lenape stomping ground. An eye is carved in to the stone along with fish scales? Your thoughts?

Imagination is a funny thing. Barrack Hussien Obama is good for this country.

Yes, it is Lost.... ;D
:laughing7:

I'm glad Albert Einstein and many others... used their's.

I have MANY Lenape effigies but have not seen any like that one. Not saying its not, I just don't have much experience and haven't come across any like that. I am from Allentown Pa. Sorry cant help. Good luck!

I just saw this. Sorry about your Dad. My Dad and Mom both recently passed.

Nice rock. Not an effigy of anything.

I was fixin' to say the same as OLDGOAT. That's a strange formation. You should send a picture to
" Weird New Jersey"
I found some ancient Oyster/Clam fossil concretions in NJ many moons ago that had similiar overlapping features. It may be a matrix of old seabed deposits. Pretty neat though, thanks for showing. Lone Star
