"League of the Crosses" Cadet belt buckle

I might have shown this to you guys before...cant remember! Well here it is again.
this is a "League Of The Crosses" Cadet belt buckle. the LOC was a Catholic church organization in the San Francisco bay area in the late 1800's. The organization promoted celebacy, which dont sound like much fun to me, but different strokes for different folks.....(no pun intended). It appears this buckle is rather rare according to the curator of a museum in Ca. that identified it for me. I dug it up in the San Jose area one weekend while I was TDY out there.
It shows a little corrosion on it ,but it is still an pretty nice find.
Thanks for looking and good luck hunting.

Yes indeed a rare recovery dig. What does the back look like?

Cool I don't know that I've ever seen one. Can you post a pic of the back too?

Re: "League of the Crosses" Cadet belt buckle

Sorry to say the back is not available for photos. I mounted the buckle in a frame to display it and so I cannot take a picture of it. I will tell you the back has the same curve as the front, but the hook and belt loop (i guess you call it that, the part the belt fastens to) is also missing, but the little nubs are still there. I will include a photo of it mounted for display.
