I returned to the spot that i found the graduation tag today. I dug a few flat buttons, a small buckle a little round thing i have no idea what it is. And this lead eagle button. I assume a cuff or neck button? Havnt really cleaned it but its definitely a eagle with what may be an R in the middle? Any help with is welcome!!! Thanks for looking. 1486934039316-1301435288.jpg20170212_155317.jpg20170212_162821.jpg14869442129401799810670.jpg

Saw a similar one here a few months back. It was suggested that a soldier made his own button using a button that lost its back. That one had remnants of an iron shank loop that was put in the lead back before it cooled. Yours was a Rifleman button, but you probably already know that. Very cool find.

Cool finds !!!!!!!

Interesting find. :icon_thumright:

The eagle looks more like a George Washington inauguration button but it has an R in it.

I jave found CW relics there but im guessing this is way before? I cant get a picture that shows the detail...
