Lead and copper Button?

This button looks like it was brass or copper pressed over lead, heavy and was found near a 1880's lumber camp (at least dated by an 1880's flask and 1890 Indian) about what year would the button be? never found one like this before. Thanks!!!

It might not be a Button :P lead is easy to pierce, so why have a attachment like the back :icon_scratch:

Nah, I think its definitely lead, maybe that's why the back didn't hold on what ever this was :laughing7:
