Hi all. Got out today for a 2 1/2 hour hunt at a permission from a nice elderly lady. Found a 1940 Jefferson and 4 wheat spill. First time I ever wished one of my coins was 2 years newer, lol, as I have yet to find my first war nickel. I made another pass and was almost back to the spill point and got a repeating 66-67 on the AT Pro. Wasn't really expecting a flat button in the yard but out popped a small one just like the one I found last week with Chris minus the shank. Looks like the same circles on back around the solder point. I finally made it to the old garden spot on the other side of the house and got a nicer loud 85 on the Pro. 4 inches down and out came the LC. I was happy but surprised to see it as well. Not really sure about the last digit of the date. Tooth picking alone cleaned it about as well as it's probably going to get. Thanks for looking!

Nice Largie.

She has a cool hoop earring.

Just love those lil surprises! Nice!

You do know that a silver war nickle will sound a bit different, right? ;)

Nice!, gotta love them large cents!

Congrats on the big copper! Always makes for a nice hunt.

Well yes, so I have been told, lol. I thought this might have been a silver dime though. It was a nice bright tone because of the wheats with it and came up an 81 on the Pro.
This is another LC that guy we met with the CTX won't get, lol!

At a site we previously tried to get permission?

Well, next time you hunt with CJ, tell him to bring along one of his war nicks. Then, you can see first hand how it sounds. (sorta prime the pump, so to speak) :)

I was wondering, did you ever go back to that park and concentrate on the area I mentioned?

Large cents to wheat's, no Indains? I would take any day.. Nice job

No, lol. This was at a site we kept passing by. It didn't even have that one feature we always look for.

Heck I don't have to ask....I must be his war nickel luck charm. He usually finds one when he hunts with me. Still haven't gone back to that park.
