Lazy Gypsy's June Finds
Been hunting my ghost town and a couple of other places along the river and have been accummulating the finds, but too lazy and tired to clean them up.
I was hunting along the river and my detector kept screeching at the base of a tree, which I climbed into the river and dug in the roots to find the gun. Thought I was really lucky till I realized it was a toy.
Have dug over 100 bottles this month and way too much iron. Left all the iron pieces up North because I refuse to drag any more home ( except my blacksmith forge ...LOL)
Dug five naughty buns and boobs coins along with the lead soldier in the woods....Thought I had some nice large cents till we rubbed the dirt off....Haha
The bottle opener spoon says "The Gibson Hotel Ohio"
I also found a nice buffalo nickel and several yet to be determined coins ,quite a few wheats and a ton of dirty dirty clad.
Pulled the McCoy pottery out of the river bank and was happy to see it in one piece. Found the tiny Heinz bean pot on one weekend and the lid to it the following week ,so that was cool.
The camel tray was a neat find and the thing with the red pig ...I think is a bicycle ....maybe. Found one more Rose spoon to add to my set that I found last summer and a Budweiser pull that I doesnt fit in with the time period I am digging at all....
I have just been throwing my finds into a couple of boxes in the garage and not even cleaning ...figured it was time to post something so you all didnt think I had quit detecting or something!
The mans gold wedding band was a good find , and the other two are silver
