Just watched the special report on my news channel.
We have had a few hotshots moving around our area just keeping watch I suppose.
Was your home in the area of the burn?

Glad to hear you're safe, Terry. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the firefighters. So sad.

Terry, thanks for letting us know ya'll are safe!
I am so sorry for the firemen and their families, and many others suffering losses there.
Please be and stay safe and bless you.

Low batt notice. Granite Mountain Hot Shots lost the fighters... Tim saw them going INTO harms way before they perished... Gotta go! Terry

Here is the Facebook page set up an hour ago for them.
There is a group shot of some of them, not sure if it is all though, but this is the hotshot group.
But there are 19 firefighters in the photo.

FaceBook page for our heroes.

My home is an RV. I drove it down the mountain when flames and smoke were probably less than 300 yards away. Glen Isla hit hardest, I think. Now, you will learn more from the local and national news channels. (edit: Glen Ilah) TTC

Inciweb has the fire at over 8,300 acres, still with 0% containment. Many, many homes lost. I saw aerial footage from a helicopter, a few homes remain un-burnt. They are transferring from a type 2 to a type 1 incident command, for the most serious fires. Here is the link to inciweb InciWeb the Incident Information System: Yarnell Hill Fire News Release

grown men aren't supposed to cry.

every news channel has different information...one says 250 homes lost...the town is only 600 people...that is every home there.
other say 50 homes lost..
but we do know the crew is gone.

I just heard on the news after lunch that I believe Kingman, is being evacuated now.
This fire grew over 5,000 acres just over night.
The video I saw at lunch looked like hell, a total inferno.
The fires where moving in circle,or tornado fashion, swirling around every where.

Kingman far away, there must be another fire over there.
Don,t head that way Terry.
