Late colonal button military button

Finally got to go and do some detecting at our colonial site. me and sonny started detecting and i got a good signal and out came this nice military button not sure off the date of the button. on the back it says superior strong plated. here is a few pictures of me digging it out, and some pictures of sonny out in the field.
Any feed back on how old the button is would be appreciated.

correct me if I am wrong,cause I don't know much about button,but that is a very scarce button an probly has a heavy price tag if was to be auctioned?

Depends on what you mean by heavy because you need a pretty rare 1812 era button to get what the better Rev and especially CW ones do. That said, you couldn't ask for much better dug condition!

I am only guess'n what it may be worth so I was thinking in the mid to high hundreds??

I'd need to hear a case made to be worth over $100. These don't go for much, at least every one I could find online in 10 minutes.
