A foreman on the job found out i metal detected and started asking me about the hobby. he had recently purchased a new garrett AT Pro. he asked me for pointers if i could give him any.I helped him set his up. I told him to just use the factory programs as they were poretty good. I then showed him how and where to swing his coil. he had started out using the Z swing and i told him and showed him why he should not use that way to swing. Then i showed him the way i swing and how the discrimination works . he could not believe how much more he could find with my method.
A few days later I took him to a friends older home and he found a merc dime and a walking liberty half dollar. I was quite proud of him and he was of him self also.. in the mean time i was showing him how to find detecting spots on the GAIAgps program . he went out and later in the day i get a picture of a 1882 MORGAN SILVER DOLLAR !!! Hetecting since 1968 and HAVE NEVER dug a silver dollar. I was checking out a old homes flooring and hiut a plastic bag with with 8 silver dollars inside and 3 two dollar bills also
That is the only silver dollars i have found
e called me and was Estatic i am proud of him and glad he is doing well. We will hunt a lot together. I haveb
