This field is the last of our ploughed fields until harvest in Aug/Sep. This weekend is our last chance on this one as the beans will be showing soon. (4 hours)

We left this to last as its full of 20th century trash. Many fires have burnt most of the finds. Never had many older items of here, but we will stick to the system this weekend & see what shows itself.

Pleased with a new record button count of 43 in 8 man hours.
New Zealand Forces Button - new type
Victorian Military Button
Livery Button
Nice couple of Lead figures
1897 Chester Silver Thimble :)
1825 Silver spoon handle with engraved initials on the front.

An encouraging start to the field.

His land is not producing & costing him £5 (kick in the teeth for bad land) & the last fields we were doing are not sharing types (Ie. farmer won't allow others)

Jeeze that's not nice at all. You would think there must be some lands around his area that are searchable and produce. Pity that he can't find them. The 5 pounds,
had to pay the farmer that? Guess so, bad. Have you looked in his area?

Awhile back I did a very trashy field in his area. We did all day & I was lucky to get 1 hammered, the only old piece to come out that day. Not much lead which is a bad sign in my books.

I hope he can get more land but I know how hard it is to begin with. Might take years to find the right area!

We are planning on trying the Thames

Drawers full off modern stuff (1700-1900s)

Album of Roman Silver Coins
Album of Roman Bronze Coins (jar of scrappies 4000ish)
