So we headed to the same beach with my buddy just like the day before yesterday, like I told we would in the yesterdays post...

Well, hopes weren't really high because of the great last hunt with my first tiny gold and all, but we started swinging and digging those stupid old 5 penny coins the beach is loaded with. No good finds in the first hour or so, but then the E-Trac started to sing me a nice and loud 12-47 tune, and I was 90% sure there was silver under the coil. Cut the plug, and there was a nice and heavy "hippie" peace ring! :headbang:

It's funny how you manage to find great stuff at the spots you have walked over many times before. And not very long after that, I got a good reading surrounded with a huge amount of trash, and I lost my nerves with pinpointing it, so I asked my friend to try and pinpoint it with the ACE, and after a short while he dug a plug with a silver ring in it! So the credit goes mainly to him for finding it for me 8) :notworthy: It's not stamped, but I'm very sure it's a .925er. :P

After that we found nothing but those old stupid markka coins and pennies, and I was thinking to call it quits, but decided to try a spot at the other side of the beach with a very little grass area and a couple of birch trees in it. Haven't detected that spot before, and the first signal I dug was an aluminum junque ring. Two trash targets later, the E-Trac rang a solid reading I thought might be something of silver, and started to dig. My pinpoint was off a little bit, but the pro-pointer showed me it was somewhere in the side of the hole. I dug more, and saw I scratched a very large coin with my digger. I didn't recognize it because it was bigger than any coin I have ever dug. I gently took it out of the hole and my face was like this :o :o :o :o a 1935 20 Markkaa coin!!! I have seen those only in pictures before. At that point I was shaking a little, and thanked god my digging tool is made of aluminum so it did not make any visible scratch on the coin.

I couldn't continue swinging anymore after that, and went instantly online with my phone to check out the coin. I found out it's made of aluminum-bronze, and only 249 000 minted! WOHOOO!! I also found a page with one for sale for €125 which is $179 in US dollars :o So that's the best coin I have ever dug! :headbang: Here's the site selling it: http://www.finntimo.com/index.php?m...Path=112_117_149&products_id=1373&language=en

€5.70 ($8.16) this time in spendable, and a cool Shell token from 1960

But enough talking. Here comes the pics! 8)

I always include the trash in my pictures exactly for that reason :)
