I got out the other day, first time in over 2 months . I was surprised I still remembered how to use the machine! Anyway ,dug a 1864 Indian , button with a neat design, Half a pocket watch and 2 bells connected to a iron bar. I'm not sure what the were on but they would have to swing back and forth to sound. The bar has a hole where it looks where it was connected .They have there clangers and are pitched different, sound great.Any ideas what these were mounted on? Thanks for looking!

Man that's a good looking IH. So is the pocket watch part. Maybe the bells mounted to a door like you used to see in old stores. Congrats on a nice hunt.

Nice finds! Any day you pull up an indian is a good day! :icon_thumleft:

Nice coin good detail ,that's a 30.00 penny all day!

Nice relic and coin hunt! :occasion14: The IH is in great shape.

Today, I pulled an 1874 IH from a farm, but is rather toasty :BangHead:

thats kinda what I was thinking. Thanks!

What did you clean your Indian with?

First just soap and water to get the loose dirt off. Then a soak in veg oil to loosen more crud. When the coin is still wet,use a toothpick to pick at the rest. This works pretty good for me

I'll try that. I use vegetable oil on most of my stuff but never really had a coin that had as much detail as the Indian I found so I figured it would be a pretty good candidate

Good luck! Just don't do this will olive oil,it will change the color of the coin. I usually use mineral oil but I was out,it's clear so it leaves everything the same. You could leave a coin in that for months with no color change

Looks like your in an old spot with lots of good potential sweet finds good display case items Thanks for sharing!!!!!!
