found some new cellar holes and dug some cool coins, tokens & relics.
My girl friend Lynne dug a nice pre cw eagle "D" button.i got a 1850's merchant token.a one piece diplomatic eagle button,a few coppers and buttons.the applied silver on the colonial knee buckle completely came off the face of the buckle while cleaning it.I super glued it back on.Also wrote a story in this month's American Digger magazine about the WWII bombers ID bracelet I returned to the son of the veteran.

Great group of finds Dave. That's a sweet Dragoon button. Love the merchant token and the matching knee buckles. Some nice colonial buttons in there and what looks like a rosette with the chain link rim. You didn't mention it in your post or show the back, but I assume it's a rosette, and a nice one at that.
thanks steve.they aren't matching knee buckles.the pic with silver piece to the right of the knee buckle is actually a thin layer of the applied silver that came off in one piece from that buckle.i have them side by side to show.I super glued it back onto the frame.yeah that's a horse rosette with horsehoe motiff in center and around the perimeter.

Dave, another simply amazing hunt bud! :notworthy:

I love the look of the c.1850's N.C. Folger & Son merchant token :o, the silvered 'horseshoe' rosette and the one-piece diplomatic eagle button!
Congratulations on your article in American Digger Magazine about the WWII bombers ID bracelet you returned! :occasion14:

Dave
thanks dave and congrats on another sweet hat badge!

The merchants token appears to have a pelican feeding her young on it, that would indicate a Louisiana connection. Very cool find!
