Shannon and I went to the big barn after lunch today with high expectations. We decided to skip the house area and go straight for the barn. Nothing. Nodda. Not one keeper there. So we headed to another site on the other side of the farm that once had a house on it. Not much there either. Some buckles, green river cap, and some sort of round washer looking thing. Our daylight was running out fast and feeling a bit disappointed at our failure to find anything exciting we quickly made to the old house and after a very few minutes I found my first Indian Nickel! 1925. Shannon and I will be going back to that old house soon! ;D
Here was our scenery for today! Hope you all had a great day!

;)

Nana & Shannon,

Congratulations on your 1st Indian nickel. ?WTG, gals!! ?Great scenery shots too.

Nice buffalo nickel! Way to Go! I'm curious, what state are you in, and how long ago was the surrounding country in the pictures settled? Those open fields look real promising. I would take my time and hit those fields in a back and forth straight line grid.

Thanks ya'll!

Civil....I will have to fess up and say that Shannon took all the pics today (as a matter of fact...she spend most of her day taking pictures!) LOL! And there were lots and lots of them. I had to choose from some really great shots and narrowed it down to those four. I only took the one of her in front of the barn. :P

Fisher...I'm in North Alabama... :)

Thanks ;)

That's O.K. Nana..DIGGIN BUDDIE'S FOREVER...Thank's for sharing.HH!!

Woo woo woo woo woo woo! If you didn't recognize that it was an authentic Creek indian war cry. ;D Great job Nana!

Never give up and hang in there , that's the spirit Nana. The detail on that Indian head is great.
Congrats on your first and many more to come. HH!

Get on that dozer and shave some ground down, then you will find the deeper ones. Take 6-8 inches off. This method produces.
