Last Day of our Holiday 😔 xx

So today was bitter sweet, knowing we are back to work tomorrow, But the weather has been kind and we have loved every minute! xx

A pretty little silver button, then an oddity, I see a face only a mother could love… 😆. 2 little rings, buckle and what I think is part of a spur, little strap end, 3 little tack pins, 3 bits of odd metal, 3 toasted pre decimals, 2 odd lumps of lead, a squashed thimble, buttons, possibly a coin, and my best find today a scrappy little Roman 😆 xx

Incised pottery had me double checking the first pictures silver. Nope. Not a match. But still...

Yet another thimble.( Remember that if you ever travel back in time and have a choice of item to sell or barter , along with buttons...)

And the almost obligatory rings.
Hints of Tolkien. Did he perhaps find such relics in his explorations as well?

Alas for the next couple of weeks Himself is on grape picking duties.. so will walking up nd down the vines (about 5 miles) each day.. so i cant really make him walk even further in the evenings…🫤 then the evenings will be drawing in and I refuse to detect in the dark…!!! So yes weekends now till Christmas 😢 xx … but obviously if u send cash to cover wages.. we will happily detect full time for you xx 😘
