✅ SOLVED Large Woven Antique Bamboo Basket. Whats it For ???

Hey guys...So I picked this up today at a garage sale.Obviously a woven bamboo basket...But I cant seem to figure out what it was used for or even a possible range of age,as it looks pretty old.It has some either Chinese or Japanese writing on the side but I can only make out 1-2 characters.It stands a total of about 27 Inches tall and has around a 17 Inch diameter.As Always any help is appreciated. Thanks Ya'll!

I don't know, but I'm thinking it might be a Japanese basket (ikebana) for gathering flowers.

Chinese, could be 100 years old plus, but then again it seems in pretty good shape, being a basket and all...and well used too.
