Re: Some silver and first LARGE CENT!!!!

That's a great set of finds there, Dave!!

Love that Big Silver!!

Kudos to you for digging all of those pull tab signals. I'm usually ignoring those signals in the turf, and concentrating more on the deeper higher conductors(copper/silver/zinc signals). That's why I don't find a lot of older nickels or gold rings.

Congrats,

I actually found this on the same lot I was hunting on Sunday, except it was found on Thursday night. I had not shown it so thought I would include it in the pictures for Sundays finds. When I dug that one I just sat there and laughed for about 5 minutes to myself. My father-in-law works with me. Every morning he asks if I found a 1909S VBD yet. Well now I can say yes I have. When I showed it to him he laughed also. Just can't seem to get it to fit in my Whitman's penny holder though?

Thanks for the replies, Seems the 1942 year was a popular find yesterday. MY knees are screaming at me this morning though.

I get to cross two off my list after finding that 1909S, the large cent and the 1909S VDB all at once? :icon_scratch: :icon_jokercolor:

HH,

Dave

I'm sure you were elated when you dug the "beer can" half dollar! Nice digs.
