Lard Bucket , Between the Yahk & Bonners Ferry Containing Between $20,000. & $50,000.
The Eastport-Kingsgate Border Crossing connects the town of Bonners Ferry, Idaho with Yahk, British Columbia on the Canada–US border.
Bonners Ferry herald. [volume] (Bonners Ferry, Idaho), 09 Nov. 1907.

FYI I Believe The Lard Tin I have is a 50 Pound Bucket (16" Tall & 12"" Wide)
& A Magnet Sticks to It.
So The bucket at this point would Be making the Ground Bad.
Probably Nulling and Sounding like trash on a detector.
I would expect If Filled with Gold, No Discrim at all & digging Bad Ground Signals would be needed
Tuff one
