That probably means that they are going to clean up the old park and divide it up into properties also, I know on the western lake that 2 of 3 properties have been sold, it would only make sense that they divide up the remaining land once its cleared and sell it.

So there is a silver lining to this economic slow down!! As for the asking price of the land its a bit on the steep side considering the devaluation of properties.

LAKEWOOD PARK .. Back in the news

Ryan Township gives tentative approval to subdivision plan for estates

BARNESVILLE - The Ryan Township supervisors tentatively approved a subdivision plan for Lakewood Park Estates Inc. that requires a waiver of road frontage requirements.

Supervisor David Morgan said the plan calls for the creation of two lots that do not front township roads but do face a private road known as Park Avenue that served as the driveway to the now-defunct Lakewood Park. He said that the issue was whether the road could be used while remaining a private road.

I dont know if someone bought it, but seen on wnep that its going to become a campground now. I did see when they where trying to sell lots down there for big $, apparently the $ was too big.
