I purchased this slab of labradorite a while ago from a gift shop with the intention of carving it into something eventually. Only one side is polished, just as it was when I got it. I thought I would share a few pics as it is pretty nice as it is.

Very nice! I see a landscape with mountains.

Thanks guys I am glad you like it. Labradorite is one of my favorites, though I only have one other piece (a sphere I bought in Arizona). It is a little softer than the quartz/agate that I normally work with so I thought it would be good material to use if I get around to trying to make something more complex. Hard to say if I will risk this piece for that, but something in me wants to make it in to a small lizard. :)

Awesome piece! I have some of the same material, got it from a rock shop in Utah. Not sure where it comes from but it is really cool stuff!

These days most labradorite comes from madagaskar.
