Tried something new Sunday and went under the barn end of our old farmhouse (1845) to sift through an area that was probably a garbage dump.? Found a great Mrs Allens Worlds Hair Restorer bottle, lots of pottery and dish shards, two bone handle knives and quite a few clay pipe pieces.
Today I metal detected at a farmhouse down the road.? Found two mercury dimes, a nice gold plated locket, a dog tag, an old lock, part of a pewter plate and a patent 1851 goodyear rubber button.
