Our plan was to cover 2 small Roman sites in 1 day - objective met.
In the morning we started on the L Shaped Wood Site but even with a deep plough this minor site was disappointing with only 2 scrappies, 2 buttons, & a Roman Pin. This site only took us 2 hours to cover.
The 2nd site is a small area next to the Roman Lion Site, that we will now named ''Sestertius Hill''. (Lost count but it must be close to 10 by now) The 4 Sestertius I found on this day might be close to a record, but overall numbers were low with just 5 Bronze Coins from a site that took 2.5 hours gridding.

Neolithic Flint
Nice Roman Brooch (Star)
Roman Bracelet bit
Nice Sestertius of Ant. Pius.
Broken Roman Silver of Elagabalus AD218.

Overall another low yield but pleasing day out.:icon_thumright:
