I found these with my old radio shack metal detector on my family's land in west central Texas. According to a soil survey map I found online from the 20's there were at least 2 houses there back then. I haven't found much evidence of the stuctures other then nails and a few bricks. In these areas I've found lots of dicintigrated tin cans broken glass and other trash. No coins or anything real cool yet. Anyways, here is some knob looking thing that says S.H.CO. RUN EASY EXTRA HEAVY on it. I'm guessing it's either a knob off of some type of valve or a burner off a gas stove cause it has little stand offs on the underside, What do yall think?

I've found about a half dozen horse shoes on this place but this one has thrown me for a loop.

It has wear on the toe and heel area and 3 square nail heads still stuck in it. if you look closely at the heel area you can see where it was forge welded into a full loop.

Any input would be appreciated!

Thats called a corrective shoe.As farriers are plying there trade the shoes are forged to the individual horses hoof, and if there is an injury or a fault, they would form a shoe to alleviate the problem

I figured out how to take a pic out of the pdf. This catalog was from 1912,
grindstone.JPG
What I have is a 4 1/4" washer from the fixture on the left. I guess the four cone shaped studs fit into the square hole of the grindstones pictured bellow it.
