Some were used for fundraising purposes, like the one shown on the bottom of this page: http://www.ioffer.com/i/86508706

Another purpose of the token was identification. Members of the KKK would wear them around their neck as a medallion to show their good standing in the clan.

"KK-203 Imperial Symbol over "Duty". Features: "Without Fear / Without Reproach". Date 1866 appears but the coin is from the 1915-44 Klan. Reverse: Cross, KIGY (Klansman I Greet You), Non Silba Sed Anthar (Anthar misspelled: Anthor). Approx half dollar size. $55.00 "(As noted as #3 on this site: http://www.kkklan.com/coins.htm)

A piece of history - congrats !

12/24/22 -I'm doing some end of the season coin and relic cleaning.
An internet search led me to your posting on Tnet.
I found the same exact Token at a old home site in Carroll County, OH a few months ago.
Mine is not in as good of condition as yours but good enough to make a positive ID.

Thanks for the info. and Good Hunting !
