Hi All. I am new to the hobby of metal detecting. Located on the central coast of California, been at it for about a month.

Caught the movie "King of California" on demand (I think it was Showtime) a couple of nights ago and thought some of you guys might enjoy it.

It has some metal detecting in it (Michael Douglas even gives his daughter a quick tone lesson), and a lot of treasure hunting.

IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0388182/

I tried to search to see if it had been posted before, but didn't see anything.

Hey, welcome to T-Net! :)
I bought that movie, hearing from a few people on here that it was really good... well, I guess their tastes vary from my own.
It was "decent" I guess, and kind of weird at times. But he did have a nice detector at least. :dontknow:

Yeah, it definitely isn't meant for everyone. It has a very indie feel with a larger budget and big name actor(s).

And thanks for the welcoming, this is a great resource.
