It's been a while since I've had anything cool to post. Well, here is a find from last week. It's one of those days when everything goes according to plan. I knew eventually this spot would produce another axe and that is really the only reason why I go. My buddy pulled one out two years ago closer to the edge of the bank where there is not as much muck. The spot is very nasty & algae covered. So, only very obvious things are found & very little fint. I think since the bit of the axe was pointing upstream, it caused most of the crap to be washed off. Thanks for the look and happy hunting!

good goin can't have that just layin around in some creek. killer indeed.

That is a very nice Axe indeed. Loved the video of the find. You can tell you really wanted to let out a big warhoop but tried to restrain yourself for the video. It's always a good day when you find some killer hardstone. Congrats on the great find and thanks for the video.

Gawd! That stream looks really nasty. What's up with that?

Great find. The conditions are tough but there are artifacts to be found in many less than pristine places. My favorite site ever is a complete $*%# hole but gave up great points every time.

Fantastic find.

Yeah, every ten years or I'll find an undamaged hardstone artifact. Takes a lot of walking! I really like that plummet you found not too long ago Steve.

Not that much flint there. Have found some small roundish blades. Mostly just rough chunks or discarded broken chunky preforms, pretty sad.

This spot could be a lot worse. It's right before a tight curve in the bank. If it wasn't for that I bet it would all be under silt. Maybe if there was more boat traffic in the area there would be a little more wash action going on. Since the water is so low people aren't on the water as much. So, I think it's as good as it's going to get.

Congratulations on a very nice axe. They are just not that common anymore. Nice!

Killer for sure...
