I came on this thread on a search as to why the government has the salt flats posted on the North side of the lake.
The area is comprised of Public and private land. Owners do not allow people on there land. Its sad but people are horrible.
There is not a free standing thing out there that has not been shot-up, signs, building, posts, equipment, everything. I don't blame the land owners at all.
I thought I would share a link for people heading out there. I wish it showed GPS coordinates. Box Elder County Web Map

It really is sad how shot up everything is. Some people even resort to putting nails and such in area's to flatten your tires. Its like its own Country out there. Be careful out there!
