Keene mini 4inch dredge question.

I have a keene 4 inch mini dredge and priming the pump is my worst nightmare. Does anyone have a easy method or trick for this. I'm just a about dead tired after priming the pump. Anyone who can help would be greatly appreciated.

yep, when your putting the footvalve hose onto the pump, just dunk it under water to fill it and the pump with water. and when storeing the foot valve over the off season, make sure you hang the footvalve to keep the rubber checkvalve in the closed position to keep it from warping open.never store/lay it flat on the floor.ive see it done that way many times and priming is hard to do then. also make your footvalve at where the checkvalve hindges with some bright paint and always install it on your pump with that mark up so the water in the pipe will force it closed when you stop running. .. this way youll keep your prime and youll be ready to go! this works for me!
