I'm more of an amateur historian, but as I've seen here, I learn a lot from
some of your findings and I believe, you may be able to learn a lot from mine.
Spent a lot of time in the Southwest region, Baja California, Owens and Death Val areas.
Talked to many locals and firmly believe its all about 'boots to the ground"
I don't think you can surprise me with a 'desert ship' story

My focus near the lake isn't the silver in it, its the 'druid' inscriptions around and near the lake, as well as the fishing in that Owens river (and that damn 'coso rock/artifact" they found. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coso_artifact too bizarre! )
Again, I'm more of an historian then a TH, BUT I'm always happy to share what I know, which aint much.


Enlighten me to which steamship and what year, sir, because as far as I know, both ships were, basically running until 1882
when both got sidelined (all documented) and it would stand to reason that anyone raising a ship in shallow water would grab the bullion
