Just when I thought it couldn't get any better.......5X GOLD RING DAY

This morning when I said my prayers for an enjoyable day of detecting, I didn't think I was going to come home after beating my record for gold rings in one day, which was 4 on March 2. Today I found 5 gold rings! At a different school today, but I think 2 of them have ice this time!

The month of March has been GREAT so far! I have found 9 gold rings in the past 5 days, and 10 gold rings for the year. Here is the 9 in the past 5 days.

Total weight of 19.1 grams this week!

Good luck to everyone!

I want to know what neighborhood you are searching in where 5 persons lose gold on a school yard and don't hire us to go find it!

That is fantastic! Congrats!

That could be a song, five gold rings, four golden rings, at a different school, almost 20grams, and found with a CTX 3030! Yeah! GO YOU! Must be your year of gold rings!

Congrats on the ride of a lifetime. I hope it continues. Since I'm pretty new I always have questions from those that are really successful. My question here is...I have a Garrett Ace 350; is that adequate for finding such things as you have recently found? I've been out 9 times and have a couple of decent finds, mostly clad. Is it just a matter of experience or are there some tricks of the trade? I'm having fun and that is what counts, but I'm just curious...Brad

Awesome haul my man! And those are nice looking rings too. Mine are usually just plain bands.

Wow, That is a crazy amount of Golds for the land...Congrads on all!!

Makes me have 30/30 envy! WTG there bro =) Maybe I will get one someday yet !

I've been detecting now for a little over a year and still have found only one gold ring. So 9 in two weeks just has me shaking my head. Congrats.

Thanks guys! It truly has been a wild ride so far. Will certainly try to keep the streak going, but if not, I'm very happy and thankful for my week. Wishing super success to everyone!

Brad,

Your Garrett Ace will find the gold. If gold is what you are after, then stick with it! By that I mean, go out and skip the dimes and copper pennies and dig as many low tones as you can before you throw up. Obviously digging bits of soda cans could get old quick, but it is important to keep trying, cause it is out there. Some of these rings didn't come in super solid lIke gold is always thought to do, that's why it is important to dig them all. I am digging in areas where there are lots of targets of decent variety. If you are finding coins, keys, can tabs, nickels, and some things that you don't think were dropped "on purpose", you are in the right spot. Nobody intentionally drops a quarter, so you never know what else has fallen out of their pocket or come off their hand. Doesn't have to be a richy rich school either. These were found at an older, less desireable one. One thing I like to do is find the older schools, 70's and below, as they have many years of drops for me to feast on. Good luck!
