Just an FYI so people wont ask "Where's DD?" I'll be stepping off to Australia for a few months to have a scratch on some gold and anything else that catches my eye. I get a bit perturbed wondering where people get off to around here when I get to like seeing them in the posts~ so this thread is just a heads up that I'll be back.

When I'm out bush its pretty much lights out on the internet. I like it that way, besides its heck to try to post when your miles from no where. Keep it real and I'll catch up with ya in the Fall.

All the best, DD. Hope you find tons of AU! bring us back some pics.

Good luck DD!

Stay safe.... lots of things in the Australian outback can be a cause for concern..... snakes (some of the worlds deadliest), spiders, 'roos, etc.

Thanks all :) Hopping off tomarrow. I'll see what I can dig up for pictures and a good post on the back end. A big nugget would be great but a hand full of smalls is just as good. Gold really only keeps food and fuel on the ute, its and excuse to wander the desert there while looking for other stuff. With any luck I'll only cart back about 10lbs of other rocks and minerals and maybe an australite or two. Some chrysophase would be nice and I might be near some this go... we'll see. Welp, check you later. Thanks again. DD

Hell, if I was going to AUS, I'd also try going to the sapphire fields. Just a thought. ;)
