I have been visiting this site off and on over the years and finally decided to take the plunge and become a member. I'm currently in NE Ohio but I have a 30' sloop I've been working on and off in a refit and hope to make it back down to Florida and all points south by the Fall of 2015. I have a White Coinmaster 5000D Series II as my first and oldest MD along with 2 Fisher 1280X Aquanauts that I inherited from my Pops and my Fisher CZ-20 when a friend couldn't come up with the money to get it out of pawn. $130.00 total cost on that unit and it works great and haven't had any problems with it. It must have been made on a Wednesday or Thursday! LOL...until about 10 years ago I still had my cheapo Bounty Hunter MD that my Pops got me for my birthday in 1969, I think!
Have had pretty good luck on the 1715 Treasure Fleet wreck between the HWL and the dunes after a couple of Nor'Easters have blown through.
A bad day of MD'ing is better than a great day @ work....

Hey Marooned, glad to have ya aboard. Pretty far cry from Barberton (broasted chicken heaven) to Florida, especially this time of year. I'm a little Southeast of you, in Carroll County.

Ohio Columbus Barber the "Match King"! My family moved over here here from Wadsworth in Medina county in 67....48 years my family has owned this house and then I go and buy my brother out after my Mom passed in 04....I made a mistake on this and let my heart rule my reason but no use in crying over spilled milk. Like you said I can't wait to get back to the ocean...my true passion!!! Take care and hope to hear more from you!

Yup, we make a yearly pilgrimage to "Belgrade Gardens" for some mighty fine chicken, I've never tasted better.

There's a lot worse places than this part of Ohio, but I gotta agree that right about now a little place on the beach on Siesta Key wouldn't break my heart!
